So, it’s time now to talk about cakes once again and to give you some Healthy Chocolate Desserts Recipes For Everyone included us vegan!!!

Today I am gonna give you not just 1 recipe but 2 healthy chocolate recipes you will seriously love!

The avocado and chocolate mousse

The avocado and chocolate mousse is one of the easiest and healthiest chocolate dessert recipes in the world.

In addition to being gluten-free, this creamy raw avocado mousse is prepared without cooking and without sugar.

Yes, you heard it right, there is no need to cooking this one!

Avocado is very well known as a fruit, or to use in salads or to spread almost like cream on a cracker. But did you know you could make a lovely dessert with it?

It is the ideal ingredient that will give you the perfect texture for this Vegan Chocolate Mousse.

Ingredients (it will serve around 4 portions a cup size each )

  • 1 large and medium avocado
  • 3 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder
  • 174 g of vegetable milk (approximately 1 glass)
  • 2 tablespoons of agave syrup (optional)
  • Chocolate nibs (I used the organic ones )
  • Crushed hazelnuts

Preparation time: 5 minutes

  • Cut the Avocado in half and put the pulp of the avocado in your Thermomix or whatever blender you are using
  • Add the other ingredients and crush until a smooth cream is obtained
  • Add agave syrup and mix it a little longer
  • Decorate with hazelnuts and chocolate nibs for a crispy touch.

 

My suggestions:

Some of you may like the avocado mousse in a natural taste without the need to add anything else to be able to enjoy all the flavor of chocolate. But if you prefer a sweeter dessert, you can use agave syrup.

You can also use vegan cream or fresh strawberries to decorate your avocado dessert.

If you do not have chocolate powder, replace it with about 100 g of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa) melted. Leave it to cool a bit before adding it to the rest of the ingredients.

Remember! The vegan chocolate mousse has to be taken at the moment, to prevent the avocado from oxidizing and altering its flavor.

 

The vegan cream caramel of chocolate and tofu

The vegan cream caramel of chocolate and tofu is a gluten-free vegan dessert, suitable for celiacs.

It will take you about 10 minutes to prepare it and without an oven, simply crushing all the ingredients in a blender or Thermomix.

It will have a sweet taste thanks to the dark chocolate but still: it is a healthy dessert, without fats or sugars and with all the tofu proteins.

Ingredients ( for 2 large portions )

  • 250 g of silken tofu
  • 2 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons of agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of agar-agar powder ( for those of you that do not know it, Agar is a naturally gelatinous powder derived from marine red algae. It’s the perfect vegetarian substitute for beef gelatin in any food application, and makes an excellent thickener for soups, jellies, ice cream and more).
  • 2 tablespoons of soy milk

For the topping you will need:

  • 2 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons of water approx.
  • Crushed hazelnuts

Preparation time: 10 minutes + 4 hours of rest in the fridge

  • Heat the vegetable milk on the stove or in the microwave.
  • Add the agar-agar and mix until it falls apart.
  • Put the mixture in a blender or Thermomix and add the tofu, cocoa and agave syrup.
  • Blend everything until obtaining a cream without lumps.
  • Drop it in silicone molds and leave it in the fridge for about 4 hours.

As soon as the chocolate vegan Creme Caramel is compact, put a plate on the mold, turn it over and gently unroll it.

For the topping, you can mix the cocoa and water in a glass until you get a cream.

With the help of a pastry bag or a spoon, pour the cream over the vegan flan and decorate with hazelnuts.

    As someone who is making the transition from vegetarian to vegan, I have discovered to my surprise that the types of desserts can taste equally as good as its dairy based equivalent.

    The only down side that I see to these delicious desserts is that they are so quick to make which means they are more of a temptation. Thanks for some great ideas.

    Great post! Chocolate and avocado, chocolate and tofu. Aren’t these sweet and sour combinations? I really would love to try them. Especially the second one. They both seem promising and … intriguing to try! I’d love to taste them. I love exquisite and “weird” combinations!

    Creamy raw avocado mousse is prepared without cooking? This is a bit strange and it is worth trying at the same time. As it you know that not every time that we’d have access to chocolate powder, we use dark chocolate as alternative. There has been time when my wife used chocolate flavour only, not the option though.You are always creating nice contents that help vegans. Seriously, I am fast becoming your fan.

    Wow, what a helpful review on this article. One thing about this is that it is going to be prepared personally. Also, it requires no sugar to prepare it, what a good dessert choice. All the ingredients are listed here and the preparation process and the mixture. So delicious dessert that with or without an oven can be prepared within the shortest time possible. Thanks guy.     In all the deserts I have seen. Avocado is the best and the most healthy deserts I have seen among all the deserts. This is because avocado has so much nutritional benefits and that is why avocado Is the most preferred among all the deserts. I  love  the creamy avocado chocolate .Very nice flavoured.

    Good Morning Barbara,

    You made my morning. I live on an organic farm in the south of Spain and I have avocados growing here. I love your recipe and will certainly try it as I am also a fan of dark chocolate. I will tell you my green avocado mousse recipe. In case one does not want to use greek yogurt you can try with coconut milk or similar.

    1 ripe avocado, 1 Greek yogurt, juice of 1 lemon, 2 soup spoons of honey, 1 ripe banana. All this is blended and then put in 3 to 4 dessert glasses in the fridge. It tastes very nice.

    On my farm, I have a lot of fruit trees. One of them is an old fig tree. Figs are also great for this type of mousse, substitute the avocado for 2 to 4 ripe figs.

    Thank you so much for these recipes. I simply love the avocado and chocolate mousse one. I love chocolate but sometimes feel guilty when I eat chocolate. I know avocado is one of the top anti aging foods but I just don’t like it’s taste. This recipe blends my two needs. And yes, I will be using the syrup!

    I have a low interest in cooking and would like something decent that is easy and quick to prepare. The avocado and chocolate mousse is what I would prepare and enjoy. I prefer an avocado based diet due to the benefits it bring like the high potassium and fiber content. Avocados also play a big role in the control of cholesterol.  

    I have not tasted it before and I will try it out this weekend and share the experience.
