Cucumber Smoothie Recipes: Cheap, Easy, Quick And Healthy

Welcome back to my Smoothie Corner. Some of you have been asking me about cucumber and if I had any particular recipe to share with you. So today is Cucumber Day and I would like to give you some of the easiest, quickest and healthiest cucumber smoothie recipes you will ever find.

The ingredients in these recipes are not only cheap but really easy to find and you will have a healthy smoothie to share with your little ones and grown-ups as well in a matter of minutes.

But enough said let’s get started:

1 The Cuculery Smoothie

I like to call it like this to hide from my kids  the cucumber and celery ingredients. If they knew this delicious smoothie was made with these two power plants they will probably refuse to drink it even before they try it. So I made up a funky name gave it to them, and guess what They LOVE IT!

Ingredients: 4 servings

  • 5-6 celery stalks
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 non-dairy yogurts
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of Vinegar
  • 1 pinch (small one) of salt

I know what you are thinking: she is preparing a salad! But you gonna have to trust me. It tastes good and it is really really healthy for you.

Preparation: 

Wash the stalks of the celery and put them in your Nutribullet or blender of your choice

Wash and chop the cucumber without peeling it and also again  in the blender allowing it to mix with the celery.

Add the yogurt, salt, oil, and vinegar to taste, mix well and store in the fridge. It’s ideal to serve it very cold and it can be an excellent nonalcholic beverage to offer to your guest accompanied by small appetizers.

2 Spinach, Cucumber, Apple, Pineapple, Melon Smoothie

This time I am afraid I can’t really hide the name, I tried to come up with all sorts of names but really none of them were reflecting the beauty of all these ingredients, so it is only fair to keep the smoothie with its original name

Ingredients:

  • 35 leaves spinach sprouts
  • 200 g melon previously cleaned
  • 300 g green apple (you can replace it with 300 ml of 100% apple juice with no added sugar if needed
  • 350 g pineapple (without the peel)
  • 100 g cucumber
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/2 celery stalk

Preparation:

Wash spinach, apple, and cucumber and  chop them in little pieces

Remove the skin and seeds of the melon and slice the melon and the pineapple.

 

Put all the ingredients in the glass of the blender and beat until everything is well crushed (If you notice the mixture is too dense you can add half a glass of water) and … enjoy!

3 Cucumber and Lemon Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 celery branches
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 1 cup of the parsley coffee
  • 1-liter water

Preparation:

Wash the ingredients and blend them with 1/2 liter of water
Strain to separate the juice and enjoy it. As simple and as quickly as that!

If you happened to have a juicer, rather than blend the ingredients you can juice them (cold pressed juicers are the best )  in that case you do not need to do the last step of the recipe.

With the remains, you can prepare a sauce  to flavor salads

    Cucumber has always been a very lovely fruit, which has tremendous nutritional benefits. I personally love eating it with groundnuts. i have always been taking it regularly.I would bookmark this page and send to my girl friend so she could be preparing the Cucumber and Lemon Smoothie which you listed, I think that would be my favorite among all the recipes you listed.     I really need to be getting into these smoothies more often to uptake my vegetable intake. While it’s not horrible, I can definitely use more dark greens in my nutritional regimen, and smoothies like these are definitely the way to go. For me, it’s all about hiding the taste of these vegetables, so by adding in some fruits with them, I can accomplish such a feat!

    Cucumbers are a huge part of my life. They are grown abundantly all year round in my country and so that made them very popular. 

    I used to hate cucumbers, until I got used to their ”tastelessness”, now I am a huge cucumber fan. 

    I know smoothies are made out of sweeter fruits like, apples, pineapples, bananas and so on. But this is my first of hearing about a cucumber smoothie. 

    I would follow your recipe and try it out, I bet it tastes great.

    Nice one.I have learned some new things here. Cucumber no doubt is a great vegetable that one can prepare lots of recipes with. My family loves making cucumber recipes, especially Cucumber and snap pea salad; Roast Pork and Pickled Cucumber Sandwich; and Spicy Hoisin Skirt Steak With Cucumber Salad.
